does Intrinsically Safe mean?
|
Through
the use of special components, materials, ratings and component
layouts, all electric circuits and inter-connected cables are designed
sot that
a) no spark or
b) thermal effect is capable
of causing ignition under fault conditions.
Intrinsically safe equipment can be isolated by Zener barriers from
non-intrinsically-safe circuits for data transfer to the safe area |

• Equipment can be calibrated and maintained without removing
power
• General purpose wiring methods can be used for connection
